The Octopus Garden
We are aware of the desire of the producers of BBC Reel to produce a documentary on the protected areas of octopus fishing in Madagascar while we are ourselves on the island for another project. To kill two birds with one stone is often our mentality!
An ambitious project that takes us to the far Western coast of Madagascar to document how local NGOs and local communities set up sustainable octopus fisheries to allow for a better management of marine ressources and provide sustainable livelihoods to the people.
A 5-min long documentary with astonishing aerial views of the west coast of Madagascar and underwater cinematography by DOP Chris Scarffe and Michel Strogoff.
